6 Quadra-Trac I™
Quadra-Trac I™ full-time 4-wheel-drive system provides convenient full-time 4-wheel drive.* The transfer case operates with an open-centre differential dividing engine torque with 48 percent to the front axle and 52 percent to the rear.
The Brake Traction Control System, which combines standard ABS and Traction Control provides resistance to any wheel that is slipping to allow additional torque transfer to wheels with traction. Benefits include:
– Convenient operation. No shift lever or driver interaction required
– Full-time 4-wheel drive provides smooth operation and vehicle stability under all conditions because torque is constantly being transferred
– Even torque distribution provides traction to maintain forward motion under most conditions
– The Brake Traction Control System (BTCS) works in tandem with full-time 4-wheel drive and provides resistance to any wheel that is slipping to allow additional torque transfer to wheels with traction
– Includes All-Speed Traction Control for torque biasing (Torque biasing uses an electronically controlled clutch coupled to the centre differential that allows the transfer case to redistribute torque to the front or rear axle as needed to maintain traction)

7 Tire Pressure Monitoring Warning System
The system includes pressure sensor modules that are integrated with the valve stems of all four road wheels. Each module sends continuous radio frequency signals to a receiver and informs occupants via a a low pressure warning indication is shown in the instrument cluster when the pressure is too low in one or more tires.

8 ParkSense™ Rear Park Assist System
ParkSense™ Rear Park Assist System* helps you detect stationary unseen obstacles while backing up. Ultrasonic sensors in the rear send a visible and audible warning signal to the driver to help make backing out of tight spaces easier. Intended to provide assistance to the driver. Always exercise appropriate care while reversing.

9 Electronic Stability Program (ESP™)
Electronic Stability Program (ESP)* is a computer-controlled system that is automatically activated to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle. The computer uses inputs from a steering wheel angle sensor, yaw rate sensor and a lateral acceleration sensor and compares the input to the drivers intended course. Corrections are then made using the anti-lock brake system and traction control plus throttle modulation to help control oversteer and understeer conditions.

10 Boston Acoustics® Premium Sound System
Boston Acoustics® Premium Sound System with six speakers includes two instrument panel-mounted 3.5-inch mid-range/tweeter hybrid speakers, two front door 6x9-inch woofers, two rear door 6.5-inch full-range speakers and a 276-watt amplifier with Digital Signal Processing.

11 SIRIUS™ Satellite Radio
SIRIUS™ Satellite Radio offers 110 specialized channels to choose from, including news, sports, talk, weather, entertainment and over 60 commercial-free music selections. Includes one-year subscription provided by SIRIUS when the unit is factory installed. Visit siriuscanada.ca to learn more.

12 Quadra-Drive II™ 4WD System
Quadra-Drive II represents the most advanced Jeep 4WD technology. This state-of-the-art active full-time 4-wheel drive system includes a transfer case with a centre differential coupled with an electronically controlled clutch pack and Electronic Limited Slip Differentials (ELSDs).
The ELDSs instantly transfer torque across the axles for outstanding tractive performance. Electronic shift simplifies transfer case operation for the driver. Quadra-Drive II provides the following benefits to drivers:
– Instantly anticipates and detects slip
– Smooth operation and vehicle stability under all conditions because torque is constantly being transferred
– Even torque distribution provides traction to maintain forward motion under most conditions
– ELSDs feature a higher torque capacity than the previous Vari-Lok® axles and react quicker to changing conditions
– Electric shift provides simplified operation
– 4WD Low range multiplies torque 2.72 times and locks the clutch packs in the centre differential for excellent performance in extreme conditions, on steep slopes and on loose or slippery surfaces
– Neutral mode allows Grand Cherokee and Commander to be flat towed behind another vehicle

13 Quadra-Trac II™
The heart of the Quadra-Trac II™ transfer case is the gerotor pump coupling, which supplies hydraulic pressure to a multi-disc clutch pack bridging the differential to the front and rear axles. This supplies an efficient, consistent and quick response to wheel slippage the moment there is axle-speed difference.
4 ALL TIME:
– High-range, on-demand operation for year-round traction, wet or dry
– Automatically transfers necessary torque to the front or rear axle

NEUTRAL:
– Use for towing your Jeep vehicle behind another vehicle
– Does not require uncoupling driveshafts

4 LO:
– Use for severe off-road situations
– Increases available engine torque by 2.72:1
– Slow speed to 3-5 km/h (2-3 mph), put transmission in Neutral
– Engage 4 LO and return transmission to desired gear

14 Hill Start Assist
Hill Start Assist (HSA) works to help the vehicle reach the highest heights. HAS will momentarily hold brake pressure as you climb, fighting vehicle roll back and eliminating the need for two-footed driving in many off-road situations.

15 Hill Descent Control
The available Hill Descent Contol (HDC) assists when the vehicle comes down a hill. Active in 4LO when the HDC button is depressed automatic braking is applied, allowing the driver to smoothly descend hills in a slow and controlled manner.

16 Multi-Displacement System (MDS)
A seamless process with absolutely no compromise in performance, Multi-Displacement System (MDS) saves fuel by deactivating four cylinders at crusing speeds. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) that tailors throttle response to pedal movement based on operating conditions and maintains more consistent vehicle speed on rolling grades when cruise control is active than a mechanical throttle control Multi-Displacement System (MDS) deactivates four cylinders when the remaining four are enough to meet power requirements.
The engine operates on all eight cylinders for:
– Acceleration
– Heavy loads
– Idling to ensure maximum smoothness
The engine operates on four cylinders:
– In city traffic driving
– Steady speed cruising, even at interstate highway speeds.
– Low-acceleration
– Shallow grade climbing
– The torque requirement is less than 95 percent of the maximum available from four cylinders Both four– and eight-cylinder configurations have even firing intervals, providing smooth operation.

The MDS system operates between 1000 and 3000 rpm.

17 Trailer Sway Control
Trailer Sway Control* is designed to determine if your trailer is swaying back and forth in a dangerous manner and helps to correct the situation.

18 UConnect™
The UConnect™ Voice-Activated Hands-Free Communication System uses Bluetooth™ technology to transfer calls between your compatible Bluetooth-enabled cellular phone and the onboard receiver. Using advanced voice recognition technology, UConnect allows you to make and receive calls completely hands-free. A microphone picks up the vehicle occupant's voice, while incoming calls are broadcast through the radio speakers. During use, UConnect commands are shown in the radio display.

19 DVD Video Entertainment System™
DVD Video Entertainment System™ includes a DVD player, two wireless headphones and video screen
