Kelly Hicks
Dealer Principal

After spending many years working with John Deere dealerships in Westlock and High Prairie, I took a GM role at Cranbrook Dodge. A few years later, I jumped at another opportunity to take over Stettler Dodge in February 2003. I am excited to call Stettler home, a home where my wife, Rena, and I have raised three wonderful girls and hang out with my grandchildren. When I'm not at work, you can usually find me on the golf course. I am a huge advocate of supporting my local community. Whether it's 4H, minor hockey, food bank, or any other local charity, you can usually find Stettler Dodge associated with it. I am proud of my community, my business and my staff and would like the thank you for supporting your local dealership. I am confident you will be very satisfied with your entire buying experience, and thrilled with our continuing service.

If Kelly could have lunch with a celebrity it would be Steve Yzerman!

Kelly's advice for a happy life: "Do the right thing"

Darren Benson
Sales Manager

I grew up in Hanna, AB. I was very active in school and community sports throughout the years, playing everything from football and hockey to golf and volleyball. After graduating from high school, I proceeded through University with a Management Degree from the University of Lethbridge. From Lethbridge, I moved to Stettler to work at RBC as a small business account manager. Shortly later, I married my high school sweetheart and we now have very energetic twin boys. In 2009, I took a position with Stettler Dodge and haven't looked back since. I'm still very active in sports, just on a less competitive scale now. Any given day, if I'm not behind my desk, you can find me golfing, playing hockey, playing slo-pitch, or at the gun range getting ready for hunting season. I thoroughly enjoy my job especially getting to meet new people every day. Thank you for shopping at Stettler Dodge and I look forward to meeting you.

Darren's favorite superhero is Aquaman because classifying Aquaman in the same world as Superman & Batman gives hope to every ordinary man.

Darren's advice for a happy life: "Do the right thing everytime"

Lars Plaetner
Financial Services Manager

My first day at Stettler Dodge was April Fool's Day in 2014. I was born in Maple Ridge, BC then when I was 3 moved to Denmark where my family is originally from. I came back to Canada in 1989 and lived in Langley, BC. In 2002 I made the big move to Red Deer to try something different. I played basketball for Red Deer College while taking Kinesiology courses. I met my wife while we were both working at Boston Pizza while attending college. We were married in 2009 in Stettler! In April 2014 I moved to Stettler with my beautiful wife Stephanie and my two boys to be closer to family and to raise our kids in the small town atmosphere. My wife is originally from a very small town on the Alta/Sask boarder and knew that nothing beats the small town life. I couldn't agree more!! Before working at Stettler Dodge I was a General Manager at Mark's for a couple of years and Department Manager at Future Shop before that. I am a huge sports fan! When I'm not behind my desk I love to play basketball, volleyball and recently just picked playing pool. I also enjoy camping with the family as my boys definitely make it so much fun.

My philosophy of customer service is to provide what the customer is looking for without being pushy. I want to help you and your family with finding want you want and make sure your needs are met. It's about the experience and the fun I want you to have when it comes the time to buy a new vehicle or trailer. Here at Stettler Dodge we want to make sure you have a great and relaxed vehicle buying experience. Come down and see me and we will be sure we find the right new wheels for you!

Lars' favorite superhero is Superman because of his ability to fly.

Lars' advice for a happy life: "If you have patience you will be rewarded."
