The base model engine of the Sierra 1500 delivers 213 kilowatts and 414 Newton-metres of torque. The premium engine option for the Sierra produces 313 kilowatts and 624 Newton-metres of torque.
The Ram 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of 5,783 kilograms, while the Sierra 1500 can tow up to 5,534 kilograms. Similarly, the maximum payload capacity for the Ram 1500 is 1,043 kilograms, whilst the Sierra 1500 can haul up to 1,016 kilograms.

The new Ram 1500 is available with three thrilling engine options, two of which are paired with an electronic battery pack to improve performance and efficiency. When looking for gasoline-fueled Ram 1500 models, customers choose between a V6 engine and a 5.7-litre V8 engine.
Though the V6 engine is only offered as a hybrid powertrain, the larger V8 engine can be purchased as a standalone fuel engine if desired. Finally, the last of the Ram 1500 engine options is a diesel-fuelled 3.0-litre V6 engine.
Five different engine options are available with the new GMC Sierra 1500. The standard engine of the lineup is a 4.3-litre V6 engine powered by gasoline. An efficient 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine is offered for the new Sierra 1500 as the third engine option of the lineup. A 5.3-litre V8 and a 6.2-litre V8 are also available as the fourth and fifth engine options GMC offers for the 2021 Sierra 1500.
